WorkingAway – and we’re back

WorkingAway.co.uk has been involved with the advertising and recruitment for over 4 years, and has undergone several facelifts and improvements during this time. We’ve always welcomed feedback from our end users; after all, it’s you guys that make this site what it is! Our previous design was deemed to be too complicated to use, too jam packed with confusing options, and basically trying to be so much more than what was required.

So, we took this on board. We’ve looked at other seasonal job websites – in fact, we USE other seasonal job websites as well as our own. We found, however, that many do suffer from this desire to crowd the employer or job seeker with countless options. It is nice to have options – but when it takes 10 minutes to work out the very basics (like how to post a seasonal job), then you know something’s not quite right…

And so, that brings me to WorkingAway’s latest update. We’ve listened, and we’ve taken action.

Want to post a free job? Simples. Click the button, log in (or create an account in 15 seconds), fill in your job details, preview and submit.

That’s it. You can post a free job in less than 2 minutes, and your job will be instantly available on the website. No need for admin approval, as we trust you. The site is constantly moderated, so if there are any issues, we can deal with them. But in the first instance, you guys can post instantly without any wait.

It’s easy for job seekers to – latest jobs on the front page, job types at the top, job categories on the right. Find a job, read about it, apply online. Send your CV and covering letter directly to the employer – no messing around with registration, no messing around with countless pages to send your CV. It’s all done from the same job page.

The site is still in constant development, with a host of new features due in February.

If there is anything you’d like to see implements, why not drop us an email using the contact form found here.

This blog will be regularly updated with news about the site, jobs of special interest, and news in general from the world of Working Away.
